Previous owners John and Sue Rayner founded Acorn Packaging in the 1990’s. Between them John & Sue created a small family company, which today is respected and renowned for its quality, service, competitive prices, just in time response and dedication to pleasing the customer.

In 2002 Acorn Packaging was taken over by another dynamic packaging Company, based in Lancashire, by the name of Leighton Packaging. Leighton Packaging commenced trading in 1994 when Phil Coffey with over 15 years industry experience saw an opportunity for a professionally managed forward thinking company. In1998 Leighton moved into a purpose built 25000 Sq Ft. factory and office complex in Leigh.

In only Ten years Leighton has matured into a well-respected company. This has been achieved by continuous investment in both technology, and its people. In 2003 Leighton achieved Investors in People status, underlining its dedication to gaining results through the training of its staff.

With the acquisition of Acorn Packaging the company seized its opportunity to open up a new market. In the 18 months since Leighton took over the company, Acorn Packaging has gone from strength to strength. This has been achieved by using the same underlining principles of investment in both technology and people.
     
Inside our factory
  With the recent Acquisition of a multi point gluing machine, and a new printer Slotter/rotary Die-Cutting machine - Acorn Packaging will continue to expand it’s Acorn Packaging to improve even further on its service to its customers, allowing it to achieve its ultimate aim of customer satisfaction.
