Flexographic
Printing
 |
|
Our 4 colour printing
machine boasts up to date technology with flexibility
in its setting process to manufacture small as well
as large products from short to large runs and is
capable of producing slotted and Die-Cut corrugated
cartons. |
This process uses water-based inks, and uses a flexible
printing plate made from TDR Polymer with a Mellonex
backing.
The advantage of using this method of printing is that
print can be applied directly to the surface of the
corrugated board which suits smaller production runs
as opposed to lithographic printing where print is applied
to reel of laminate and then glued to the paper before
being made into corrugated board.

Basic cartons are
produced on the slotting section of our production
machine. Corrugated board, which has been pre-creased
in the corrugating process i.e. with the two horizontal
creases, is fed through the machine and a series
of creasing wheels and slotting tools produce
the vertical creases and slots.
This method of manufacture requires no cutting
formes (see die-cutting) and is therefore a more
economical way to produce basic cartons.

This process gives
us the capability of running high volume work
in one process at a good standard of quality
– allowing us to satisfy customer requirements,
with lead times as low as 3-5 working days. |
